front hydraulic pump drive

Trying to re-engineer a hydraulic pump drive for a 4507 Deutz. The previous owner had no u-joints or flex in drive shaft and the pump mounting broke apart. Looking for ideas and sources. maybe like something what surplus center sold years ago...crank pulley plate with compact double u-joints.

There are a few ways to drive the pump.

One is to loosely mount the pump, making it so the pump can not spin, and use a direct mount carefully centering the shaft so there is minimal runnout. The shaft actually supports the pump.

Or rigid mount the pump with a very heavy duty non flexing mount and use a single jaw type coupling. This type needs to be carefully aligned and mounted so there is no load flexing. The jaw type coupling requires very limited misalignment.

Or rigid mount the pump and use double U joints. This is the best if you have room for it. Get the alignment close, doesn't need to be perfect. It will need a slip joint of some type so not to end load the pump.

Not sure where to get the drive, maybe a hydraulic shop.
