I see in the for sale adds an Empire tractor -- Does anyone know what engine and drive line was used in that little Guy ? I had a Shaw Dual at one time and I believe it had a studabaker tranny behind a two cyl. Wisc. engine --I dont recall what the rear end was --- Roy

Thanks for that link.
Very interesting.
We had a 1945 Military jeep.
That was a tough old machine.
Miss V and I used to take it to the hills we showed you and Sis in yall's visit here.

Empires were built using Willys Jeep surplus drivetrains after WWII. Willys engine, trans, transfer case for rear PTO and some Willys components in rear axle. I have one complete original running Empire and one project thats needs a lot of TLC. There is a nice club for all owners with a newsletter several times a year

Those were just mild hills.
Another 6 or 8 miles up the road and you would have seen some real hills.
Yall come back and we'll show you.
My Dad said they used to drive a Model T down to Stumphouse Tunnel and coming out, they would have to stop and replace the water that had boiled out of the radiator.

There were several at the Pinckneyville show this year.
