Got home from work, miserable 100 degrees, installing black aluminum fence. Anyway...... Took carb off our 950, it has a Zenith, took Marvel off the 841. Stuck it on the 950,fired right up and a quick tweek of main jet it runs perfectly.......uh-Oh, but wait, put zenith on 841 and it's 99 percent better!! No smoke. Smooth running, ran it around the yard then took off up the road in 4th, zero issues. Looks like the carbs will stay swapped!! Lol

Just means what ever issues the 841 had swapping the carbs fix it. Could have been as simple as a vacuum leak where the carb bolts to the manifold or a simple issue with gas flow in the carb it self

That temperature is hard to work in. Hate to know what the feel like temperature is with the humidity you have done there.

Good on getting the tractors running.

Vito

This is best argument ever for having more tractors. They can actually fix each other once you reach critical tractor mass.

Look at the brass 90 elbow where fuel enters carb. It has a screen and blocks fuel flow. Take the elbow off.

Good deal !! Glad you got the new Ford running good . 100 degrees-That is pretty hot , too hot for me.

That's strange...

How, why? Same size engines, drawing the same air volume, same fuel ratio needed.

Unexplained mysteries!

I'm glad you got it smoothed out. I was about to get worried since I don't think I've ever sold you a dud. Don't want to start now either. Hey, I just got in a low hour Belarus, wait, never mind...

Did you buy a SD Cub at that Weiman auction? 8/29 sold for less than $800, CLetrac at $3500, Total sales price was about 20K
