Huber Tractor

Morning All,

Thought some of you might enjoy viewing this old picture. I know nothing of it. Author of the post says it's his great-grandfather @ the wheel of a Huber Light 4, near Williams, IN, circa 1925.

There is a Light 4 at Junkshow. For some reason I recall talk
of the front end being on the frail side and a bit of a wrist
breaker.

Although Huber wad a reputable manufacturer I dont think
this one was their crown jewel.

My Grandfather had the same tractor, the first tractor in the family.
It doesn't look like much but changed farming forever.
No more horses. If you've never farmed with horses, you don't have any idea what that little labor saving mechanical machine
meant to the survival, growth and prosperity of the farm. They raised much more crop for cash rather than for feed.
