I have melons in the garden that were looking really good when I left for pinckneyville il on wensday and when I was mowing today looks like one of the plants got hit with what I think is the blight not sure but is there anything I can put on the rest of them to stop all of them from dying i figured with all the experts on here somebody would be able to help me

Look to see if there is evidence of twisted and puckered but still green leaves. Dicamba a drift prone herbicide can be blamed if used in a neighboring field. I lost a whole garden to it about 2 years ago.
If just wilted see if there is soil moisture 6 inches down. if not it just could be dry. If not carefully remove that plant without disturbing it much, and burn it. I might cover the plants near it prior to removal. Jim

Check the stem at ground level, you may find squash vine borer. A hole leading through the vine with a grub like intruder. You can inoculate with BT solution with a hypodermic or you can slice the critter with a sharp knife then cover the stem with soil. Check the remaining plants, a dose of BT should control them . Google Squash vine borer.HTH Sam

Looks like Japanese beetles (the big blue-green ones). they did that to my raspberries, and squash the worst. Turned the leaves to lace just like that. Good luck getting rid of them, traps work best. So far have only been noticeable in the garden not field crops.
