Came across a new replacement radiator for a JD 4430. Didn't come with a petcock drain valve, just a plug. The 1/4 NPT threaded petcock out of the old radiator didn't fit it. Thread gage says it's BSPP 04 thread. Internet says that's British Standard Pipe Parallel thread, as opposed to BSPT (Tapered instead of parallel). Any ideas as to why such a thing would have been sold in the U.S. and/or where in the world I find a petcock for it?

I used a pipe tap to make it NPT.
