Citroens started doing that 70 years ago. You could take the seats out and have picnic. The
roof rolled back and the doors lifted off so you had a lot of breezy fresh air. 2CV.

And good for tall people. I know a YT member who removed his back seat and mounted driver's see far back so he could get into the car.

suggest you add bungee cords for seat belts...State requirement you know!
 
A few electrical conduit straps screwed into the floorboard and away you go. A cup holder would have been a nice touch.
 
Back in the day when Pop still had a rural route he put a milk crate in the jeep for his annual inspection rider to sit on during the trip. gm
