another shortage

Was going to mount up some tractor tires and was told there are no Firestone 15-5-38 inner tubes in the country to be had. Supposed to be a year backlog on them.

Tired of the shortage thing. I went to the co-op this morning to get some herbicide. I was talking to them about grass seed also because I am going to overseed some of my yard in a weeks. They told me grass seed is going up $50 per bag (50lb bag) on Monday because there is a shortage. Really? Grass seed? So I bought several bags today. Crazy

Here in NH except for the northern part it has been no big deal. We did like we were supposed to do so it never got going bad.

So I just read up on Willamette Valley
grass seed production. Sure enough
drought and high temperatures has
greatly reduced grass seed yields.

I'm in the market for a winch, likely from WARN, 12k lb, for some reason you can get as many as you want from their foriegn line, but their American made stuff is 4-8 weeks out. Not sure if it's a parts or a labor issue. I'm not in a huge hurry so I'm waiting.

I remember reading an article maybe 40 years ago about grocery stores in Japan. It showed pictures of shelves mostly empty. Said there is some food there but not necessarily what you want. At that time I thought, with all the problems in this country at least we will not have empty shelves in the grocery store... Turn around and here we are.

Trying something top secret new there Tee. Ready for fall? Cools off nice in the evenings now anyway. Doing any pulling? Was out last night and got three 1sts in the open classes. Try again tomorrow and see what shows up.

Northern Minnesota (Kcms neighborhood) also produces a bunch of grass seed. Same story there. Dry as they have ever seen in most spots.

(quoted from post at 20:29:09 08/14/21) Thats funny because we never did any of it and never was a
big deal ? How can that be

How can that be? Easy! I was doing what I was supposed to for where I live and you were doing what you were supposed to for where you live. No big deal except for conspiracy theorists.

Population density, not being social helps keep it from spreading.
At least Colorado was only 39th in deaths per 100k.

Good for you Mel--I have not been out for awhile--You are lucky I wasn't there or you would have gotten three seconds!!!!!!-Ha-Ha---Tee
