i removed all tires and sanded the rims clean , painted them and gave a shot of clear coat. changed the oil, shined her up, now she has to perform. going to antique pulls on weekend. she does pretty good.

this little w4 is right at the end of production and has all the super options.
 
exactly what she does, i have draw bar at 16 and front wheels come off the ground at about 1/2 way and away we go.! its in class one. just under 5000 lbs it weighs. i have the 650 in class 5 at 10,000 lbs. it does good too.
 
I was hoping the county fair would have the tractor pulls again . I won 439$ two years ago with my stock 3020 weighing 10500 pounds

Do you wear hearing protection at the pulls? I've never been a fan of straight pipes. Is your 650 a diesel?
 
Hi Rusted a very nice original tractor. When the W4 was first introduced in 1940 they sent them here to the UK. Serial number 502 is still on the same farm that it went to in 1940 and other early serial number tractors I have seen are 532,537,575,638 and 639. MJ
 
number 507 is not all that far from me. mine is the highest in red power mag. # 34113. good to hear !
 
we have pulls at sangudo alberta. its just the old antique tractors before 1960, none of that souped up stuff. nice camping spot there by the pembina river. might get showered on this weekend.
 
i am not really a fan either of straight pipes, just put this on my w4 and w9 for show. they dont make all that much noise. not like those olivers. yes 650 is a diesel. would like to find a gas but those days are gone. saw i nice one here about 25 years ago sell on auction that i missed, went really cheap too.
 
Been thinking about taking my W-4 to the fun pulls (no money). What gear do you use? Mine is heavily weighted, 14.9x26 loaded tires. You built up the drawbar somehow?
