For anyone interested, an old friend of mine and regular on these forums passed away today. George has been a friend for many years, and owned a repair shop near Delta, Pa. He was a specialist in
cast repairs and used to rebuild many old carbs that should have been scrapped if there were replacements for them. As a machinist, he was one of only a few in this country who could fix just
about anything you could throw at him, from a diesel truck to a skidloader.

RIP< old friend....

Thanks for the info. I am sure he will be missed. I always enjoyed and appreciated his input in the forum. He was a very wise man.

Thank you for passing this info to us. He was indeed an expert in his field. I found his pictures of the repairs of broken cast, quite remarkable.

George was an amazing guy that helped me out numerous times with his knowledge and welding cast parts for my Massey's. He was the Case 1000/Continental engine wizard who knew how to rebuild these old machines and engines the right way. I will miss him dearly. Thank You George for everything! RIP.

I tried for a long time to find some cast iron welding flux in my area. I mentioned it on one of the forums, George came back and said to give him a call. I did we had a long talk and he sent me 2 cans in the mail. We talked a few times after that He was a very knowledgeable man. He gave me some pointers on cast iron welding. His many years of knowledge can only be replaced by many more years of work and study and trial and error. When someone like George passes a void is left that will take years to fill. Rest in peace George.
