You are fortunate, my friend. I can't hardly get my wife near any of my antique tractors. Did have a couple of my sons help with some maintenance and restoration of a couple of them; even had a grandson here from Wichita last week-end and he helped get the old 4th generation JD D running. The tractor was flooding and would barely run with the gas shut-off turned almost all the way off. So we suspected the carb float because previously, several years ago had the same problem with a '36 JD A and the float had a hole in it. When we torn the carb down the float was full of gas. I happened to have a spare carb so switched the float and everything was fine. When I get to the point of not being able to maintain or use the old poppers I guess I will just sell them as there seems to be no interest from the family of 6 children and 15 grandchildren. But, in the meantime I am still having fun with them at pulls and shows.

Susan grew up with old red tractors on a cattle ranch at Gunnison,CO.She loves driveing and rakeing with her tractor
Named her 'Chloe'.

It's nice your wife is interested in tractors. My wife has never been on a tractor. All she knows about my tractors is, I cut peoples weeds, return dirty, and they send us checks. Stan

My wife has been on tractors mainly to pull me out of he mud when I got another tractor stuck.
She gets upset if I sell a tractor.
