IH 660 three point hitch?

I am putting this question here because more see it than the brand specific boards. Is there a three point hitch which would fit on an IH 660? I once looked at an IH 656 and thought maybe that would work. Another possibility would maybe be an aftermarket hitch. Thanks for any information.

i dont think it would be practical even if there was one available. 3pt is a farmall model thing.

Probably possible with time and money, but it sure wasn't designed to ever have a 3 pt.

I see the 660 has what looks to me like the standard notch area on the axle where a loop drawbar would mount, see link. You might be able to get an aftermarket 3 point that bolts up that way. That is how the one on my Farmall M mounts. This is the best photo I have and the chain I have draped on there is blocking the view. It would likely do away with your loop drawbar if you have one. Mine still allows for hooking drawn implements up to the swinging drawbar but allows no swing. If mounted this way I would also recommend stiff stabilizers, as in angle iron or the like going forward to the side mount bosses on the transmission case from the area the bottom 3 point arms attach. Especially if you intend to lift heavy round bales with it.

I know they make one for a 560,but I have no idea how close a 560 is to a 660.

A 560 and a 660 are about like night and day for difference in the hitch department. One was a standard model and the other a rowcrop version with a standard model available also for the 560.
