Anyone from this forum going this year or have been before? I'm thinking about it but would have to burn the last of my vacation time for the year so still up in the air. It sure looks like a great time!

(quoted from post at 13:54:27 07/17/21) Taking the ferry boat across to
Ludington too..

My stepmother and youngest brother were just on that ferry this afternoon from the Wisconsin side to the Ludington side. They said it was an awesome trip.

Hope you have reservations. I've been to
the bridge a week before the bridge walk
or drive years back. They said things
get crazy with people.

Fortunately, my wife and I own land a half hour northwest of the bridge. If I were to go, I'd just camp on our property for the weekend. But you're right. I've been down there during the bridge walk and other events, and it gets nuts.

Our son is getting married that day. They told us at the meeting Wednesday night that they're 80% filled. If you're going, sign up
quick. It's already too late to get a buddy seat approved.

It is not crazy there during the drive . Maybe a bit busy while all the tractors are being brought in. I've been doing it for over 10 years now. Will be there again this year. Usually take a load up on the semi when I go.

Wife and I will be there. We went in 2019 was really good. The B and NAA will NOT be going however. Was a tad chilly last time we were there
but thats September in northern Michigan.

You have to be pre-registered with a club to cross the bridge. Can't just show up. It is a great time though.

Those are mostly ships that go thru the Soo Locks. Not barges. It is impressive to see a 1000' ship work its way gracefully
into and out of the locks.

Thanks for link to this. I did not know anything about this. There are several YouTube videos on this. Very nice. 1400 tractors!
