That tractor is a Blackstone stationary engine mounted on a frame. The tractor was displayed at the 100 years of tractors at the Christchurch A&P Show in 2004. The Marlborough Club is at Brayshore Park in Blenheim, New Zealand

Blackstone entered both a crawler and a wheel tractor in the 1919 tractor trials in Lincolnshire, England. When the trials were re-enacted in 2019, the organisers could not find one to exhibit.

The crawler and wheeled tractor entered in the 1919 trials were three cylinder, paraffin fuelled diesel type engines which started and ran on paraffin. The tractors were built until 1925. Blackstones continued to develop and build diesel engines and were taken over in 1937 by Lister. They ended up being owned by the German company MAN.

Here are some more details taken at the 2004 Show. The last photograph show the overall display of tractor built before I think 1925

Wow guys, THANKS for all the info!

Wasn't sure if this was an actual manufactured machine or just a 1-hit wonder. Had no idea what a rarity it is.

Athol, pics and flyer are added gems!
