My dad insisted we get the headlights and back light on his cub working. My mom said he didn't need them......but at 75 years old I figured he is old enough to decide for himself!! Lol I don't think he does anything outside after dark......... While I was fixing lights on a rainy day,I got mine working on the '74.

I have the same feeling about my tractors. If its supposed to have something it should have it and it should be working, even if you don't need it. How else are you supposed to show your tractors are driving you crazy. LOL I have working lights on all of mine and mine haven't been needed since the 90's but you never know until you need them and don't have them.

Im just no good at electrical work. Generally not really that hard for lights, just tedious I guess for me. I need to go around and fix up a good half dozen of my equipment with failed lighting. Dont work those items at night very often, but the rare time I do its kinda important.....

Maybe I could just park my stuff in lime with yours and you will get the lights working for me before you realize its not your stuff........

Always good to have even if you only ever use it as a light source while you fix or deal with something in the dark of night you will be glad you fixed them.

Before I can add light to my Cub I need to have a charging system. Right now it has the generator but it is not hooked up and I guess I need to check on junk cars and see if I have a small alternator to put on it

Lights are a handy tool that become necessary when trying to finish working or planting a field at night. Many times it's taken longer than it was supposed to and found myself looking at a setting sun. Never enough daylight hours in a day sometimes. On a side note, most all my tractors came with a cigarette lighter which now becomes handy for other things.

There are some wicked bright LED lamps that directly plug into 6V or 12V pos ground headlamps . 1200 lumen and higher
Always wondered about those that purposely handicap themselves under a false impression of frugality .

The alternator from older Nissan pickup trucks is electrically very similar to the
GM Delco alternator used in most alternator conversions.
