Massey 44 manifold

Hello again second question. On this Massey 44 four-cylinder. intake manifold ,from the top of the carburetor going up 5 inches Or so give or take half inch inch when running sweats or condensates profusely on the outside of the what I would call up draft manifold ,done it for years ever since dad went up and bought it , sucking a lot of air in my opinion And like I said earlier in a post 175 pounds compression all cylinders.

That is normal due to the gas being atomized so the gas/air mixture cools down and cause condensation on the manifold and can even cause carbs to ice if conditions are right

An indication it's working right! In some conditions, ice will form on the outside
of the manifold. If the carb ices up as Old says, a piece of tin deflecting some
warmer air off the rad and making the tractor work will help melt it.

Here is a fact for you that works the same as that carb is. In the south west of the U.S.A. the Indians would soak animal skins with water and hang them up in such a way that the wind would blow on them and as the water evaporated it would cool there homes

that is not quite the reason.... this is called the venturi effect as in all carbs up draft and down draft. the air is speeded up as it passes through the venturi , then this produces a low pressure area and this is what sucks the gas into the intake manifold. when this air is speeded up the temperature can drop to below freezing point. it does not have to be carb to drop the temperature. so saying the gas is being atomized causing this is not the actual reason. you can feel any updraft carb in july and the carb will be cool and lots of times wet. plus the gas has to be drawn into the low pressure intake first which is already cold.
