The pump is leaking oil into crankcase. Is there an easy fix? I have read two different pumps were used; Thompson and Pesci. Is there easy way to identify?
Thanks in advance.

Fix is pump front seal. Be sure shaft is not too worn.
I think it was a Cesna, Wooster, Pesco, Thompson pumps. Some with multiple versions. Some used o-rings, others used seal. Best bet would be to open up pump and see what's there.

Here are the diagrams that will let you know which you have. There are some with Oring seals. The key is often a speedy sleeve to repair a wear groove in the shaft. if the seal can be matched with one that is thinner, it will hit a different spot on the shaft. Polish the shaft roundy round, not in and out, with 600 grit paper. Jim
