I posted last week on whether or not to replace the PTO shaft on my NH 273 baler. Ended up ordering a new shaft (off ebay) and all the other bushings to tighten up the flywheel, clutches, flywheel shear bolt hole, etc. My main problem was the constant snapping of shear bolts due to slop between the flywheel and the pictured link arm...
It looks like there isn't a replaceable bushing in the link arm. Should I bore out this hole and press in a hardened generic bushing or just run it? I already ordered a drill bushing that would work, just not sure if putting it in there would cause another issue.
