Early 1950's is correct. The number 7 denotes it was a Briish built version made in Kilmarnock in Scotland. I would suspect the US designation would be No.1 but I am not sure about that.

Some versions also had a Wisconsin four cylinder engine.
 
Thanks. I'm taking the baler to our local fair. I know I could put something like 1944 or 1961 on the placard, and most people would say wow, and wouldn't know different, but I'd rather be somewhat accurate.
