Pictures of our annual 4th of July steam parade

A long time steam aficionado, I wish that I could see the photos but I will not sign in to google as is apparently required.

Wow! Now that is a real parade! Sure wish I could see that in person!

Evidently steam power was just not popular here in N Texas. Very few survivors.

The only tractors in our parade yesterday was a Farmall M and a riding lawnmower!

Dean , this helps?

Yes, that worked. Thank you.

Wonderful photos of coal and steam, that built this once great country.

Never seen an AC G with FEL. Anyone notice?

Thanks Joe, That 841 Ford is a good example of the elusive correct shade of gray. The guy even splurged for all new lug nuts instead of painting the old ones red.

Dean, that's my baby, only a very few of those with a loader around, especially
in working order. Have been trying to buy that for the last 10 years or so, finally got it last fall

What community is this in? That is a lot of work!!!! Loading, unloading, firing them up and all. WOW!!

Oly, this is Cumming, GA, about 60 miles North of Atlanta. It was once a booming farm country in the early 1900s. Always had a large steam population. At one time we were home to over 50 of these beast, but some have left as their owners passed and children didnt want them.
Most live in a huge shed built by the city on the fairgrounds in town, so it keeps from having to transport them. They are babied by their owners, and the city even has a paid inspector with ultrasound equipment to keep them inspected to meet the state safety requirements. Massive quiet giants!

Years ago our local AC dealer 9 Dad and 2 sons) had one and it was kept in the dealer ship where it could be seen but it was also used when needed. Do not know what happened to it They also had a WC with with the wask engine, don't know what happened to it either. Dealer ship closed before end of AC after Dad and one son passed and I highly suspect te second sin also past years ago. I think they plowed snow on sidewalke in their small town with the AC G and loader but I never got there after a snow. I have seen a few at shows with the loader.

Joe, thank you. Inspections on those are really important. There was a steam tractor explosion in Ohio, I believe, that killed several people some time ago. That parade would have been something to see!
