My dad and uncle made a.garden tractor back in the early 70s. It had the transmission and read end from a 49 ford pickup. They shortened the rear axles.

The frame was two small channel irons with a homemade.bench seat and fenders. The first engine was a Wisconsin. It was belt driven to the transmission with an idler puller connected to the clutch. Something happened to that engine and couldn't find parts. Dad put a Briggs model 23 on it.

My uncle moved away in the early 80s. The tractor sat in a farrowing house till dad sold it in 1990. I last saw it in the early 2000. I was driving around in the big city or Orleans. When I spotted what was left of it in a junk mans back yard.
