When NOS becomes worthless

There comes a time when even new old stock parts can basically become almost worthless. I found these new JD points for a Deere cornbinder in my junk, still tied together with the tag. I cant think anyone would actually need them

Would be a tax deductible donation to a old thrashers club, someone would love to have them just need to find that person.

Our tractor club has a JD corn binder, needs new points maybe, I don't know. We use it at our show almost every year. Amazing how many people have never seen a corn binder and have never seen one in use one.
 
A lot of the people who would need them never use Ebay. Place an ad in a farming magazine where
there are a lot of Amish like The Lancaster Farmer and there might be some responses. Provide an
address where they can write or a number where they can call though. Most of them do not do any
type of internet.
 
How about giving the model of drill they were for and the tag looks like it has a part number so post that as well. Somebody will probably want them for his drill that new ones are not avaible from Deere to replace his rusted out ones.
 
I've got a ton of stuff like that that I've picked up at auctions. You hate like heck to toss it, but just try to find any of it if you go looking for it. I know I just saw it the other day.

You'd be amazed at the number of Amish that somehow seem to be able to access internet information and the number of English doing the looking for them. They aren't stupid, they can work around the rules.
