Kubota down again

At 300 hours my M6060 had to have new injectors. At that time all fluids including the fuel was lab tested and all was good. Now at 543 hours it started loosing power again just like it id back then. I called the dealer and it will be a month before they can get it in to work on it. Now it is out of warranty but the service manager said she would try to get Kubota to foot the bill as it had been in for the same thing twice before and this will be the third time. I wanted to trade it off but they have no large tractors in stock. I called the local J.D. dealer and they are gonna come look at it this week for trade in on a new J.D. I know there has to be something causing the injectors to keep going bad, the fuel is good and I always let it idle before shutting down ( I was raised on diesels so I know you just don't shut them down hot. Anybody got any ideas on what it could be causing this.

I had the same issue on a nearly new Kubota skid steer last year. It took about 5 weeks to get it turned around... they gave me a loaner during that timeframe, but it was still a bummer.

All common rail diesels can have trouble if they get crap into them. Don't skip basic troubleshooting though, common rails are still very vulnerable to normal diesel power loss issues, IE clogged filters and air leaks in the suction side of the system.

I have a 6.7 cummins, a single bad tank of fuel in 2016 took 10,000 L of fuel and 600$ of new filters to finally stop having power loss issues. The filters always looked fine but change them and inlet pressure to the common rail pump came back up and it worked good again until the next clog.

Certainly related to you or your tractor situation. Between our 4 stores I show 19 of that tractor sold and only $412.00 worth of warranty work over the 19 tractors. I still lean toward fuel related but you say it has been checked. I would hope that the dealer can get it covered under good will policy. Finding anything to trade for will be tough but don,t take a beating that tractor can be fixed.

The only kubota I will ever buy

I'm going to change the fuel filter in the morning. I opened the water seperator valve on ther bottom of the seperator this evening and I heard it sound like a vaccuum which I've never heard before so it does kinda seem like the filter is plugged up, so I'll begin there. It will run fine and have the usual power for about an hour then it starts loosing power. It never seemed like the injectors before, but it has ran great for the last 200+ hours till now. I don't even have the plastic worn off the seat yet. I really like this tractor and would hate to let it go but I can't be without a cab tractor since I have COPD.

Interesting.

I own 5 Kubotas and love all of them, even the B3350 since Kubota has decided to warrant the emissions system forever.

Be sure to check all passages in water separator housing for clogging. I once owned a M4900 I purchased used with 300 hours on speed/hour meter that after several hrs of use engine would loose power/rpm's. I could change filter & it would run fine for few hrs then loose power. I located a clogged passageway in water seperater housing & after cleaning clog it ran fine while I owned it.

"Vacuum" are any info you could give may lead to the issue... I would want to know if that's normal are not if its normal tell me WHY...

Its the little things we do not discover under normal diagnostics are take the time to talk over with the customer...

Fuel delivery system in a static state under a Vacuum Hummm.... Does it have evaporated emissions on the fuel system. ?
