Oliver Super 55 Transmission Fluid

I am relatively new to the world of old tractors and am restoring a severely neglected 1955 Oliver Super 55. Rebuilt the electrical system and have it running great. I changed oil and topped off all fluids.
There are 3 separate fluid systems for front bucket, PTO and transmission.
The transmission level was very low. I removed the overflow plug next to the PTO shaft and filled the transmission fluid at the fill cap under the steering wheel. I used the tractor for several hours and after parking it found a fair amount of transmission fluid had leaked onto the floor.
Wonder if gaskets were dried out due to low fluid level and now are leaking.
Thanks

Likely the worn seals caused the low level rather then the other way around. Either way replacing them is needed. Look to place new seals such that
their contact lip touches a new spot on the sealing surface if there is a wear groove there. Speedy sleeves are also useful to make better sealing
surface (look up and watch videos) Sometimes a seal can be purchased thet is a different thickness but same OD ID to accomplish the move to better
surface config. Smooth the new contact area with 400 to 600 grit paper round and round not in and out. Jim

Pretty safe bet it's the seal around the PTO clutch. It's common with the age of those things. They're an easier split than most
tractors. You can search the archives on the Oliver forum or just ask for help there. I just had one apart doing some work on the
PTO clutch a few weeks ago.

There are two or three seals, don't remember.   Look at the level plug at the rear of the tractor,
then look at all the seals after you split it.   There is only one of them that is below the fluid level, thats the
one that seals between the long PTO shaft & drive gear.   A lot of people overlook that seal, without replacing it
will still leak like it is doing now.
There was a change in design involving the seal, change was made
at S/N 46 000.   Early design, the seal was in the rear of the clutch hub, late design the seal is inside the drive
gear in front of the front needle bearing.
