Sickle bar guard replacement

I have a Kosch mower mounted on a Farmall Super A. The Kosch mower used IH MC 2041 guards. Can they be replaced with the NH style double guard. I have 3 of the double guards that I think came from tractor supply and put one on. It fit fine. The double guard is thinner or rather narrower than the IH MC2041 guards. Not sure if that will make a difference.
Anyone tried this? success failure?
The MC2041 are serrated whereas the double guards are not.
 
I put them on my John Deere no.8 and it made it cut hay

I put the doubles on my Kosch last year, been really happy with them. Being slimmer, they seem to plug less in difficult conditions. I am not sure yet if I like the non replaceable ledger plates. I used to change the ones in the old style guards, but the last few sets I had didn't seem to hold the plates as well and I wound up having to weld them in.

Can you send pictures of the monti8ng brackets. I bought a mower and thery did not sell me the mounts.
