Hey all. Have an Oliver 1755 with hard steering. Hydraulics all
work good and it has gotten worse over the summer as we
use it. Gonna take out side screens tonight and check
steering box for leaks. Havent seen any oil leaking. Anyone
have any possible ideas as to what is going on. Im a Deere
guy so Oliver is kind of foreign to me. Thanks!

Wide front?
Have you tried greasing the steering tubes to the spindles?
Jack it off the ground and make sure grease comes out both top and bottom.
You will be amazed.

Pretty sure I know what your problem is. There's no seal in the top of the steering column and no lubrication. What looks like a seal is a dust cap. There's a needle bearing in there. Tip it up and spray some knocker loose oil in there. Turn the wheel back and forth and work it in. Put a little bit heavier oil in there once it's steering right. It's a good idea to put a little light oil in there periodically.

Hhill welcome to YT! rrlund nearly wrote the book on Olivers, what he has told you has a real good chance of being your problem. Please check back and let us know if your issue has been resolved.
