My buddy sold me a MF 135 with a 3 cylinder gas Perkins engine. He did not tell me that upon starting and shutting off, there is a distinct grinding, metallic noise coming from the front of the tractor. There is no noise when running. I changed the drive belt thinking it was the water pump. And it may be but there was no change. Any ideas?
