Very nice!

But you know I have counter... with this one. GRIN

Since this old pic, she does have all her parts installed and runs well.

Not a Ford tractor guy even though I have a 860--But if I was I would vote for this one---Tee

I do like the TC below. They sound like a marching band with only the drummers keeping pace. Beauty is a function of perception. Thank goodness we are all different in that regard. Jim

No arguments with any of you, all of them are nice!
But theres just something about the old two cylinder Johnnys , heres my old 420....

This one has lots of fond memories for me. Its one of the few non farm work related projects my Dad and I got to work on and my oldest son whose driving it is involved in it as well. Love the other tractors showcased here too. The non-running Massey used to belong to my great grandfather. May buy it back someday if the price is right!

The best looking tractors ever were the Cockshutt Blackhawks. Nice styling and paint scheme. The NF models were best.
The 50s Olivers were a close second in styling but the blood red rim color was frighteningly awful.
The color scheme on the early 60s Ollies like the 1600 was top notch.
The ugliest tractors EVER were the MMs. NO styling whatsoever and truly awful paint colors.
The Ford 8Ns were handsome little tractors. Both for styling and paint. After the end of those Ford never again made a really attractive tractor and the cyclops front end on the Jubilees through the Hundreds was terrible. They used the same basic hood on the 62-64 four cylinder Thousands but gave them a facelift on the nose which made them much more attractive.

Paid for, runs good and doesn't give me any trouble. Most all the older tractors had good styling and looks. I'm an AC fan but when AC quit the styling of tractors like the 175,D21,220,etc and starting putting out those humped up things with the fiberglass hoods they were the ugly ducklings.

C'mon, guys, everyone knows the best looking tractors, in order, were:

1 Essex Tri Directional

2 Hoyt Clagwell all models

3 30 series Case

Ben.....and my Masseys and Deeres are a distant 4th!,

Ultradog ...... you get my vote with the Cockshutts ...... actually the whole series including 20, 30, 35, 40 and 50 are essentially the same style with different paint for some. Did Raymond Lowry design those (along with several other styled tractor designs)?

I always liked those MH tractors.
They had style and power.
Wish I had my 1946 101 SR back that I pulled my sawmill with.

Can't that tractor turn on a dine and give you change back?

My brother had a 900 series with SOS.

These are my favorites. I read some posts that warn & discourage the JD1010. It is for me anyway, a reliable little machine with just minimal maintenance. Hard to not like the looks of 39 Farmall A either, couldn't find an easier steering tractor that doesn't have power steering.

The quint essential tractor... the one every 6 year old pictured in their head for 3 generations was the Farmall H or M. Everything "tractory" rolled into one machine.

I think them little Olivers are pretty darn cute. Has a nice character line in the body side panel, and the grill shows at least some imagination.

Had a 9600 just like it but with creme color rear wheel center. Traded for one with a cab that wasn't as pretty.

This whole thread is proof that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One man's junk is another man's treasure.

Interesting discussion. There are no wrong answers.
