Last year i purchased a John Deere 32A sprayer from a guy down the road, it has the 200 gallon fiberglass tank on it. This is the original tank and I keep getting some trash in the spray water, looks like the strands of the fiberglass tank and other stuff floating in the water. I usually use roundup or bicep II. Does anyone know if there is a liner that i could put inside the tank to make it last a little longer? The tank is not cracked or broke just getting old.

20+ years ago I re-coated the OUTSIDE of an 1100 gallon fiberglass tank that was getting nasty and prickly from sun damage by brush painting it with two-part resin I bought from the maker of the tank (basically the same stuff that comes in an autobody fiberglass repair kit).

I don't know if you could get the tank clean enough so it would adhere, or if it would work to roll the tank around to coat the inside relatively evenly.

The company has changed their name and I don't know if they still would supply resin or advice, but it's a free call to find out, 800-365-3070.
