Never seen one with a slatted floor. Bet that feeds the critters underneath!

Ours had a slat floor but 1/4 galv. mesh over it.

And the one I have was brought out of the mountains in our county.

This is the first rectangular crib I've seen that doesn't have X-braces between the side walls. Were they removed?

ss55, that is a good point. Maybe there are/were some exterior braces.

Never saw braces like you are talking about here in ohio. Perhaps your cribes were taller tho. Very few would have been 12 foot or taller tho. 8-10 foot tall more normal height tho.

The older (1940s) crib here does not have them, but does have steel cross rods. The newer (1950s), taller crib has X braces and cross rods. still fill them both every year.
