535 JOHN DEERE MAKING NOISE LIKE A HAMMER HITTING TUBE

Been rolling for three days straight, noise getting louder by day. Already replaced bearings in three of the four inch rollers. today we put a heat gun on all bearings, nothing that hot to point to a bearing. Is it possible for the hex shaft to break into slapping the inside of roller tube?

Hex shafts have a history of making knocking sound from excessive clearance inside brg inner race. If brg don't test hot then I'd continue baling hay.

Today will wind up first cutting. Got to keep her together for a hard day. THANKS

Don't worry about the knocking. Happens with hex bore bearings and load.

Don't lube them! Might spray a little water on them, not much pressure, and allow the rust to stop the
knocking between bearing and shaft!

CAN'T explain it , but after two rounds around field she quit knocking and rolled 77 rolls just like a new one. Thanks for all the input.
