2021 Brome Small Bales

Baled 350 small bales of brome this weekend with all but 30 now being stacked in the barn. The two helpers did a super job of loading the trailer and helping me stack in the barn. Hard working and no complaining. Not all were done by hand, but had rain coming (which didn't happen) so pulled the old JD 336 baler out of the shed on a different farm and ran 250 without a miss. I run the wire balers and I rarely have any issues with ties.

You might remember that I purchased a IHC 445 baler with Farmhand accumulator earlier and had some questions here. The baler did a super job, and once the accumulator got loosened up, it did as well. Makes it a lot easier to load a trailer 8 bales at a time. Can unload the same way to a point, but still have to cross tie them every couple of rows.

The ground is not actually as dry looking as the picture makes it look. Must have had dirt on my phone camera or something. Bob

Just getting our brome cut today. With the hot dry weather, it should round bale in a couple of days. Brome is exceptionally good this year but a little late getting it up. Good looking hay, thanks for the pic.

We are so dry in mid Mn. , they are cutting one day & baling the next. Cut alfalfa in the AM & chop in the afternoon & the dust is flying.
