Kubota Introduces New Gas-Powered RTV520: Smooth Operation, New Design
5/24/2021
Meet the New RTV520

Kubota updated its RTV lineup with the launch of the gas-powered RTV520 with a new look and updated features. The new RTV520 features a more powerful 2-cylinder Kubota liquid-cooled EFI engine that provides more than 17 horsepower and gives instant power with greater throttle control. Equipped with a Variable Hydrostatic Transmission that provides exceptional performance on any terrain, the RTV520 offers a smooth driving experience at low speeds and dynamic braking allows for one-pedal operation, making jobs that require frequent stops easier. Offered in general purpose and deluxe configurations, the RTV520 is available now at Kubota dealerships nationwide.

So their so-called new UTV is simply the old gas version with a 20cc larger engine?

(quoted from post at 11:15:25 06/09/21) So their so-called new UTV is simply the old gas version with a 20cc larger engine?

Promoting the EFI as a lower cost and less troublesome alternative to the diesel .

Had it about a month now. Old one was 10 years old. Time for a change. Better ride, better seat, and the uped power . And aluminum wheels and a electric fuel gauge.

It appears to be about the same as the previous RTV500 but with a slightly more powerful engine and a $100 higher price tag. Unless you have to have something like the ability to haul it around in a standard bed pickup truck (a good enough reason), I really prefer this one. It has 4 wheel drive (back axles both drive, front does not) and way more payload capacity. This will outwork two Kubota 500/520s. I almost bought one last month. Price would have been the same as Kubota. I didn't buy it because I have way too much stuff now. I can do everything I have to do with a tractor and front loader and I have two of those.

there is nothing at all complicated about
the diesels offered in kubota rtvs. 3
cylinder IDI, no emissions and all
mechanical except for the fuel shut off.A
lot more simple than an EFI if anything.

Rock

Big advantage to UTV is easy on/off compared to any decent size tractor and even some small older ones.

Love my bobcat 4x4 diesel heat and A/C hydrostatic one pedal on the floor more leg room and quieter the kubotas

Yeah well, I hear ya, but I have a few issues with that. Number 1: Picking up small (and large) items that are heavy like rocks and firewood. Much easier to roll them into a front loader bucket. I don't find it difficult, at age 85, to climb onto an open station medium-sized tractor. That's why I bought it. It's my go-to tractor for that kind of thing. So, I don't have to lift heavy things very far, and I can dump them onto some other conveyance, makes the utility tractor a no brainer. Number 2. I have so much stuff now I can't count it. Where does it stop? I reserve my right to go buy one of those things if I want to. So there. (;>))

I had some older friends (now deceased) I used to do some equipment repair and maintainence for . They bought a JD gator mostly for the ease of getting on/off and after one brother passed away the surviving one traded it for a Kubota 1100 utv. The Kubota probably cost as much or more than a small utility tractor with loader (he bought one of them too eventually). So I agree with you , use what works for you and if you want a gator go for it.
