This is the 3000 I bought a couple of months ago. Just put the new Firestones and new rims on. Also new brakes. I have two new Firestone 6x16 for the front. I will get them on next weekend. I have also done a lot of other things to it. I need to find rear wheel weights now. Anyone have a picture of the correct weights for it or part number? Has 3 holes in the rim centers to mount weights.

Very nice. If you can't find original weights- I have a NH TT60A tractor with similar wheels. I was able to get a set of new, aftermarket wheel weights from a local dealer. So if that's a route you would take, a decent dealer could probably help you.

Hi Tracy. I am in NE Indiana. I do want the original weights but you are a bit far. I would like 3 weights per side. The old rims had calcium in them and were really rotten. I think I know where to get weights up here but not sure what are the correct ones. I guess you could ship yours to me but that would probably be rather expensive.

John, how about I pick them up from Tracy and meet you half way at some point? Always see good stuff for sale in KY........lol. love a road trip

Looks good John.
There are a few kinds of weights that will fit.
These stackable weights fit on 3000/4000 centers = 80 lbs ea.

There are two styles here. Pie weights = 600 lbs ea side and a one piece weight that bolts to the 6 wheel/center bolts = 300 lbs ea side

There is also a 3 piece weight that bolts to the 6 bolts that weigh 225 lbs ea side.
I have had these on half a dozen different tractors from a 2N to my 3000.

With the 3 piece style make darned sure you get the special wedges with them. Otherwise they are unmountable.
Likewise with the pie weights you Must get the special stud nuts and mounting plates for them.

Ultadog your top photo is what I am looking for. I believe the one that goes next to the rim is different than the outer weights. At least that's the way it looks on the parts diagram on Messicks site.

The starter weight is different from the ones that stack on over it
Have you considered a water/methanol mix for ballast
Thats what I use instead of weights

Many use winterized windshield washer fluid thats good for 25 below
I purchase methanol race fuel and mix it 30-50 percent with water, 50 percent will get it to around 40 below
Mixing it myself saves me nearly half the cost

Nice lugs. I ran Firestones on one tractor and got good service out of them. Try All States Ag Parts on the weights. They have sites scattered around the US and deal in salvaged material among other things. Expect to pay big bucks as for some reason, maybe just the mass of the things, they are pricy.

I have a '65 and had and sold a '66 3000 both diesels with 8 speed Live PTO, one with OEM PS and the other with after market, which is really a noted improvement over manual. Good, reliable, workhorse and is very fuel efficient.

Yes the weights are pricey. I have 2 Ford 3000's. 1970 and 1972. Both are 8spd, live PTO, factory power steering and differential lock. Great little tractors.
