It's been a solid 6 months since I shipped my WD to my cousin's shop for some much needed work, but I am excited to say that we brought her home today! Here's what she looked like then:

I've still got a few odds and ends to finish up myself, but she has come a long, long way! Here's a short list of all the work done to her:

-Two new front hubs
-All new front hub bearings and races
-One new front rim
-Two new front tires
-Two new rear rims
-Clutch, Hand Clutch, and Brake Pedals sleeved and a new shaft installed
-New radiator (the cast lower neck style)
-New oil gauge
-New temp gauge
-New thermostat
-New thermostat housing
-New vinyl decals
-New battery box
-New battery
-Brand new Nelson muffler
-Brand new wiring harness (and many electrical components like spark plugs)
-Entirely rebuilt Knoedler seat (new bushings, welded brackets, new pins and sleeves)
-Oil and filter change
-Coolant change
-AGCO Persian Orange #1 Paint
-Case IH Argent Silver for the rims
-Lots of shiny new bolts and knobs and gaskets and grommets!

Looks great.
I bought my mom's Farmall C. We call her
Allis because the Farmall red faded and
looked like AC orange. I put a new coat of red lipstick on Allis

Suh-weet! He done good. Now - seriously, will he take on another AC challenge? I've got a machine I'd like done up right, just like this. I can deliver. Let me know! :D

1953 without a Snap Coupler,kinda rare. My first tractor I bought was a WD. I was 13.

That looks really good! I really wonder if it could have looked that good the day it left the dealer's lot brand new? The pay-off is 'every time you walk across the yard and just glance at the tractor you get an emotional lift'.

I see you got the cultivator brackets on the front. We always left the brackets that the levers sit on, on also. The only
time they come off was when we put the mounted picker on.

Well,,That looks Many Wonderfuls, Will,,!! I sure like the Silver and orange combo on the rear wheels!!! Reminds me of my D15 LP Series II I used to have,,,,,,sigh

Oh my goodness, thank you for so many great comments everyone! After 2 years of working to fix bits and pieces of the old gal myself (like the front hubs, foot pedal sleeving and new shaft), I finally opted to let my cousin get it across the finish line (he made much faster progress than I ever could have, and was able to do all the rear rim work and painting that I couldn't have done). Feels so weird to drive a feels like new again tractor. It looks so different sitting in the shed now.

Bob Bancroft -- Haha, yeah I wasn't feeling like springing for new rear rubber at this time. Hoping these tires last me another 10-15 years for how much use she gets, lol.

docmirror -- Where do you live?

flying belgian -- Yeah the old paint wasn't too bad, just some nasty spots where the radiator leaked and the battery box was gone and some other odds and ends.

NEKS -- Interestingly, I did pull off several other cultivator pieces before going down this road. Namely some pieces on the steering support and fenders.

Now I just need to decide what my plan is for fixing up the other late model WD! It has a snap coupler and original seat on it.

it.

I'm in the southern central US. I can deliver the machine, and pickup.
