Early 8N steering part 3

So I went and worked on it again today. Still was not able to get the slotted fill plug out. Tried to pull the steering wheel but it was so rusty that I had to use a screw driver and hammer just to free up the washer after the nut was off. I poured a mix of 80W-90 gear oil and ATF down the hole in the steering shaft. I then jacked it up to take any load off of the steering. I then started working the steering wheel left and right and kept doing that. It then slowly freed up and I was able to turn it fully both ways

Is there a way to get the water out that is probably in there and caused the problem?

Could you drill a hole close to the bottom, let it drain, tap it for a grease fitting?

There is currently a 7 part series on Youtube on how to repair frozen 8n steering box. And several other great videos. Much more detailed than a manual. Thank me later. LOL
I just saved 800 dollars repairing my fridge that the repairman said was toast and all it needed was a defrost timer switch. ($38) You tube had it on video.
