Te20 Ferguson with Midwestern bucket

Cannonbahe

New User
I have a great little te20 Fergie. Ive had some leaks in my hydraulic lines for the bucket so Im replacing the offending hoses. In the process Im learning I dont know what Im doing so its trial by error. I thought I drained the lines the best I could then I found the drain plug🤦‍♂️

I then over filled it and it blew like a volcano out of the fill pipe.

So here are my questions.

How much hydraulic oil does it take?
Where can I get a new filter. It looks like a roundish ball with fabric on it.

I wish I could put a picture of the filter. But cant figure out how to do that. Id be happy to text a photo to anyone that would offer assistance.

Thanks

Does your loader use the LH (hollow) frame of the loader as the oil reservoir as many "Midwestern" loaders did?

If so, there's a 1/8" pipe plug below the fill port, remove it, with the loader bucket set down on the ground add oil to the reservoir 'til it begins to trickle out of the port where the plug was removed.

If your loader is set up differently, post back.

Yes!!!! There is a little plug!! You are my hero!

Thanks. Now to be greedy. Where can I find a new filter for the canister in the front of tractor??

Thank you!

If no one comes up with a part number; I expect drying it out the best you can and taking to a parts store to see if they will match it up in a catalog, is about the only option. Replacing the entire cannister assembly with a current one would be another option. If you decide to replace it you will need to determine the type and flow rate.

As far as posting pictures usually it takes more than 5 posts on record before a new user can add pictures. You can go to the test forum and make several posts trying to add pictures in them to get your count up or go to Site Comments and ask YT Support to set it so you can add pictures. Size limit is 7mb per picture or the total of all pictures in a post.

For the filter, this is what I have, can't say for SURE this is what you need, tho.

752 177 M1

Replaced by 1752177M1.

Replaced by 835817M91, currently available from AGCO, even on Amazon.

Crosses to WIX 51010.

Gasket (IF needed, should come with filter) AGCO 1752180M1

Originally there may have been a brass screen surrounding the filter to keep the big chunks out (LOL), that part number is 1752179M91, seems to be nla.

Remember, this is free advice, I hope it's worth more than you paid for it, don't shoot the messenger if incorrect for your machine!
