Case DC at a auto junk yard

This Case had a tag that ended with DC, so I assume that it is a DC. It has a three PT and a wide front. One rear tire was flat. Without knowing anything about it, is it worth trying to rescue it?

Always worth saving a case. The eagle hitch makes it a late model. Depends on which wide front, the adjustable is less common. Foot clutch would make it desirable as well.
If your looking to make money that is hard to do on lost older tractors.

I wouldn't expect to be able to make money on it. A dead tractor always needs a clutch and an engine overhaul. I'm just a fool who can't see passing up trying to fix someone else's problems.

I think that I will head back up there next week and ask him about it and a few other items.

Jeff bought a WD 45 that smoked as bad as one could smoke. He got it home and when he pulled the dipstick, gas and oil came out the hole. He found a bad float in the carb. and fixed it and changed the oil. After a few minutes of idling the engine smooth out and it quit smoking. It has been a good tractor for him. He bought it for a wheel and tire that he needed for another tractor.

SDE,
What something is worth depends on the person.
If you want a particular tractor then you may have to pay many times more to restore it than what you can sell it for.

I've decided to keep my old truck on the road as long as I can. The old truch is very valuable to me even if the insurance company thinks it's worth less.

So it's difficult to answer what's it worth?

The good news is it will be unlikely that you will have to replace the clutch as it's an oil bath clutch. My dc has been a loader tractor all it's life and still has the original clutch.
