i got tired of pumping up these tubeless tires everytime i need cub mower. installed 2 tubes and all is good now. hear everyone saying those tiny tires are worst than vehicle tires. this is how i did it and worked good and was fast. used vise to break the first bead and the clamp was my helper on assembly. on cub cadet zero turn mower.

I've been using a piece of all thread through a hole in the table.

Clamp the wheel down and pry the tire off, then usually can push the tire back on, minimal prying if any. Safer for the tube.

I like the idea of using a vise. I'll try that.
I even made a couple of mini tire irons for small wheels like that.
I just heated the ends of a couple pieces of 1/2 inch rod and
hammered them out flat, about 1/8 inch or so thick.
Then I rounded them off and smoothed them up. Beats sharp screwdrivers!!
Anyway, they work good for me.
If possible, I clamp the axle in the vise, then proceed to
take it apart.
Generally, when I put tubes in, I add a squirt or two of slime.

Yes, small tires are the toughest. The toughest I ever went up against was an off road competition motorcycle tire, that was designed to be able to be run flat. That sidewall had almost no flex.

Using a vise and clamp. Isn't that cheating? Wonder why I didn't think of that. If there is a hard way to do something, I can find it.

Anymore I buy the tubes from slime that already have it in there. Last couple I did was with the wheels on and blocked up. Took one side of tire off, felt around inside for nails, stuck tube in, and rolled the outside bead of the tire back on.
