Bad day for two people I know. Was out in the yard and heard sirens/heavy truck engines running hard. Two fire trucks from a town a few miles from me came by, followed by a County deputy. Daughter and I got in my truck and headed up the road. 1.8 miles away at the intersection, the deputy was blocking going across. A triple wide trailer had flames out the roof on the left back corner. Ended up with seven pieces of apparatus up there. About one half of it burned down to the roof line. No one was hurt to my knowledge. Not a good way to end your weekend.

Never a good day when something like that happens.

I may be the odd man out on this one, but if you know it's going
to be a bad situation, why would you want to see it in person?
On top of that, why would you expose you daughter to that?

YOU ARE DOING A LOT OF GUESSING. Now let me do some guessing. I am not likely to be right, but may be as
good as your guess. His daughter is 24 years old and it was raining outside with no shelter, He went to the
site because there may be a wreck and the fence may be damaged.

Friday night about 2:30 am the sirens were going and then stopped before going by. Not unusual as they go by here almost daily. I did get up at 2:45 and saw all kinds of lights lighting up my yard. The ambulance had stopped at the next door neighbors place. Was there till about 3:15 and then left with the lights on. Haven't heard what the call was for yet. Next nigh they went by at 4:30. Was an ambulance and fire truck that time.

I spent eight hours yesterday at a neighboring town with my Fire Dept. tanker truck for a water supply drill. There were firefighters and trucks from probably twenty different towns there working at being able to do a good job when someone is having a bad day.

Like taking toddlers to funerals, they need to get used to how life really is, not how it ought to be. Trying to coddle kids results in snowflakes that need safe spaces.
