Tractor Apps

I was wondering if you guys are using any tractor apps to maybe oversee the maintenance of your tractor and other things related to using one. What are some features you think we need? Any recommendations are highly appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is where you're
heading but I made a spreadsheet for each
tractor and CATs to track date, hours, and
service. It will flag due maintenance
based on elapsed time and hours. Excell.

I used to keep a little note pad in my
wallet. It has serial numbers and filter
parts numbers and so forth. It'd get wet
and the pages would be stuck together and
illegible. I keep them on my phone now.
Works pretty good for me.

Charts on the wall in the tool room and spiral note books labeled important facts. I also keep a
paper file for every piece of equipment in a file cabinet. Old school but it works for me. Kind of
like the shoe box full of receipts and the note book I keep to document my sales and expenses every
year.

The App I use consists of a black marker.

Under the hood or in the cab I apply the marker.

Really remarkable it records the date and hours when it was last serviced, it tells me all the filter numbers and even goes as far as telling me how much oil it will need for a service.

The current version I am using also provides me with;

-Belt numbers

-Wrench size for drain plug

-I use it on balers, swathers etc as well to list all the tools I need to load into the box before going to the field.

While I would never use my phone (that only makes calls) for the above the list might give you some ideas.

I use a notebook too. But sometimes, I forget where I put it. My fault really. Figured if I have it on my phone, it's not likely to get lost. Thanks for all your responses. I guess some thing are better the old way.

I use the Determined method. under the hood, inside of a side cover, etc. sometimes the writing gets smaller as I approach the bottom.

Thinking about it, I think I'd like to stick to the writing. LOL some innovations are hitting far from home.
