NEED help JD people! Have a JD 60 Im trying to figure out. The tractor runs great but all of a sudden had started pumping engine oil into the transmission. Could someone shine some light on some areas to inspect for issues? Ive asked a few people and no one can seem to get me in the right direction. Thanks all.

What evidence are you observing to say this? Pumping is a pretty strong word. What pump are you implying that is doing this?

RH crankshaft seal (Key #29) (actually two seals back-to-back) is the likely culprit.

Gasket (38) and oil feed seal ring (27) (IF used depending upon serial #) are POSSIBILITIES, as well.

Non functional crankcase ventilation pump. Extreme blowby .

I've got to disagree with "Buick" about the crankcase ventilation pump.

It pulls clean air IN through the air cleaner and pushes it into the crankcase, actually trying to ADD to crankcase pressure.

The flow from the ventilation pump plus "blowby" exit the vent tube hanging down from the valve cover.

A failed crankcase ventilation pump would not add to crankcase pressure.

Agreed with Worn Out. Pay close attention to the orientation of the oil seals as one oil seal is intended to keep engine oil in the crank case and the other is intended to keep transmission oil in the transmission (first gear reduction cover).
Don't listen to B&D
