Got the cultivators on Crispy, still working on the adjustments. But it's close. Wife says I really don't need to cultivate every day....lol.

Got a sign with this verse on it that gets displayed with Crispy at tractor shows.

You really need a set of fenders so you can roll the dirt in around the plants without covering them up.

You should have tried using a horse cultivator all day long. Looking at the horses rear and using the foot pedals to keep from tearing out the corn was as boring as it gets.

GP has some strange soil. Dirt looks like it has rocks in it.
I grew up on a farm with clay soil. It was difficult to work.
I'm selling a rental with 2 acres of clay. Hate clay. It sticks to everything, Harder than concrete when it dry. Turns to quick sand when wet. Moles hills become mountains.
I'm going to shed a tear if the sale goes through. A tear of joy.

GP, I only run two on the back. One larger sweep centered on rear tire on each side and a small one on the bars next to the plants up front. But if this works for you...enjoy. I like to cultivate with my Cubs. Spent some time yesterday planting about 3 acres of sunflowers on one of them.

There doesn't appear to be a sweep on the adjustable square bracket on the front tool bars. Maybe they stuck them on the back at the end of the year to go faster. By the time you get things running perfect the crop gets bigger and you want to start moving things again.

That paint job is cool. That is one of those things, when you see it, you smack yourself in the head and say, Why didn't I think of that.?

Shouldn't the sweeps be on the front and the tines on the back? That's the only way I've seen it done in Southern Minnesota.

We always used half sweeps on the front nearest the row for the first cultivation then full sweeps once the corn got up a little height.I use disk hillers on the front now turned away from the row first time around then turn them to throw dirt into the row after that to cover the weeds between the plants.
