Based out of Oshawa Ontario, Ross Mackie is quite a man, did his first major over the road move
when he was 16. His father sent him to move a military person from the area to Alaska.

Seems like the trailer front end is further back relative to the rear axle than I'm used to seeing. Is that just to make room for the sleeper?

(quoted from post at 05:15:07 05/04/21) Same 34 Bentz crawl through sleeper on my new 77 Eagle.

I was wondering about that sleeper. Can you get to it from the cab? Far cry from the mini-apartments that are part of the cabs these days.

(quoted from post at 20:21:56 05/04/21) Yes, you crawl through where the back window would be.Spent a lotof years doing that.

Thanks, I thought maybe the side doors opened into the sleeper. Looks like they're for storage.

Gerrit

The side doors open also. Very hard to climb up into it from the ground, or to jump down either. In the hot weather, you parked crossways to the breeze, and opened both doors for the air, while you slept. No heat or AC in that coffin. Bottom doors were for tool storage.

Driver comfort became more of a priority over the years, should have come sooner. That's a really sharp tractor, the paint and front wheels really set it off. If I recall, you also had a cabover Transtar as one of your first trucks?

Nice bunch of trucks, did you hold onto any after retiring? I've mentioned the Keystone museum down in Richmond, VA area on this forum. If you want to see a nice collection of trucks and tractors and old iron, you should make the trip if you haven't already. Plan to spend a few hours. If you want to talk trucks, the owner is usually around. If that's the case, I'd plan on spending the whole day. Thanks for the pics.

Gerrit

No, I wish I'd have kept a 4300. My son has been to the Keystone, I plan on going this summer.
This 95 9300 was my last truck, had it 20 years. Sold it to a farmer, it's now hauling grain.
