Help me identify forklift transmission

I just bought an old forklift today that was made by an Oregon
company called Holt in around 1950. It has a Wisconsin THD
engine and Wisconsin Clutch. It operates well except that it
doesnt like to stay in first gear. I tried to hold it in and it
pushed back on the shifter.

Can anyone identify the transmission? It has 3 forward
speeds and one reverse. It has a drive line from the clutch
and and output for each wheel and seems to behave like it
has an internal differential. You can see the break drum on
one of the output shafts in the picture as well as the shifter
handle coming out the top.

A Clark. Clark supplied transmissions, rear ends and gears to all kinds of manufacturers. B.F. Avery V tractors used one just like this.

Thank you. That looks like it. It doesnt look too complicated. Any idea what model of Clark it is so I can do some more reading?

No, just that it is a small, non-synchro Clark.
I think Earth Master and Grand Haven tractors used the same unit and <M-H> used a similar Clark in their Pony tractors. Try asking the guys down in the Minneapolis- Moline board (Minnie-Mo bought out Avery and made the V for a few years after) or the Lesser Known Classics board where all the odd-balls gather (tractor AND human!).
Good Luck

After>Grand Haven tractors used the same unit< it should read >and Massey Harris used a similar Clark in their Pony tractors. For some odd reason, my abbreviation of M.H. didnt show up.

Heres a grand Haven picture, you can see the transaxle unit- kinda...
