Came out of a restaurant today and this old IHC threshing machine was setting in parking lot. I thought it would make an interesting photo with my car in front of it for the contrast in years. Also would be interesting to see a modern day grain cart parked next to the steel wheel 30 bushel grain cart on the trailer.

What do you suppose combines and cars will look like 100 years from now? I can imagine combines going faster but not much wider. And cars-- faster?

McCormick Last time it was operating.... 1958/59..

I was clearing some fence line...saved this machine.....:)
It has been on my property since new...

neat! I have a picture from july 2nd 1904 of about 25 horse and wagons and a bunch of local people name were wrote on the back of the picture. my grandfather was part of a crew that picked the mccormick-deering threshing machines up from the local train depot and they hauled them apx 3 miles to a assembly point and put together. then they were taken to who every got them. my grandfather passed in 1967 at the age of 96 I remember him but I was very little, that was the story I was told for years.

(quoted from post at 19:28:48 04/27/21) What do you suppose combines and cars will look like 100 years from now? I can imagine combines going faster but not much wider.

I was just told that the newest combine from John Deere carries a 45 ft. bean head and a 16 row folding corn head.

I was driving through Bryant Indiana and there is a combine salvage yard there. I've never seen so many combine in one place. I mean 100 and 100 as far as I could see. I should have took a picture
