My brother did that to a Super 88 Oliver. Left the front wheels in a post hole. Dad was not happy!

I was always amazed how tough those front pedestals were, brother drove one straight into a tree, it bounced off, and reared the front end up the tree. I actually drove the same front end into a well. Each instance, of course, had a reasonable explanation. LOL

The up and down shaft on an H is prone to breakage but the M is not known to break. He sells the shafts from an M for scrap

Our H broke that shaft crossing a furrow but wheels stayed under the front end. I just lost steering.
Dad clamped a broken hoe handle to it and walked in front about a mile home as I drove in first gear and
lightly used the brakes to help steer.
