I just read that there was available an add-on hydraulic system for the As, B, and BNs. True? I gotta do something for a lift system, and am getting discouraged trying to find stuff to support my pneumatic lift-all system. The photos may help explain why. The manifold is sad, too.

I've never heard of seen a hyd system for the A,B,BN but I have used a power steering pump off a Chevy pickup for hyds and it worked pretty well

Well that sounds like a good answer to the problem to me. What did you use for a reservoir?

The one I used was off of one that had a large tank on it but I was also only using a hyd cylinder to lift a sickle bar mower so not a lot of fluid was needed. But one can rig up a larger tank if you need more fluid

Are you running 12 volt system? One of these would work great.

That is 3 or 4 time more $$ then a power steering pump and while it may do more the cost is a bit high

Got some good ideas here, guys. Had not thought of an electrical unit, and may be able to find a used unit much cheaper -- no, it's not 12 volt, but I have what I need to convert it. I like the power steering unit idea, though. Thanks, guys!

Super As has hydraulics, should be pretty simple to swap over.

I found 2 of those exhaust valves in an old barn a while back. Posted about them on a Farmall facebook group. Couldn't believe the price I was offered for them. Sold them fast. Guy I know in north alabama has a bunch of parts for an exhaust lift. A few weeks ago he had a complete system..... Where are you located??

Depending on your lifting requirements some of the little winches they make for quads can be found dirt cheap, with a few pulleys they can lift an impressive amount of weight.

If your interested I pulled a pump and tank from a B farmall a few years ago. The tank mounted under the hood to the valve cover bolts. Couple hoses are there also. Dont know what happened to the valve or the cylinder that was there. Ill make you a good deal if interested. Give me a call 320-333-9980.

Dont exactly remember how the pump mounted but the belt is there. I almost think they put a double pulley on the generator.
