Cub belly mower questions

So when I went out and cut some weeds with this 1947 Cub I noticed a name tag on the mower deck.
I've never heard of this company.
Kup Klipper Model 42 made by Sunflower Industries out of Olutha KS

Does a pretty good job but seems a bit taxing on the cub in thick stuff. I did almost get it stuck when I drove across the drainage ditch for the duck pond but it did make it over it twice.

So is this company still in business??

Sunflower is a company but I don't know if they have anything in common with Sunflower Industries in Olathe Ks.

Good evening, old and others: I have been interested in your CUB adventures, I have a 1958 Cub LO-BOY with a 42 inch Woods belly mower. I would say my Cub has all it can do to power the 42 inch deck. I do NOT try to use it for a brush hog. I have mowed my front ditch for 20 years with it, I use first gear at about 80 percent throttle. I set deck to take about 3 inches off tops of grass.

For flat areas, (I have several acres), I use my 9N with rear mount 59 inch finish mower.

Close to the house in tight spaces, I use my J. Deere model 212 lawn/garden tractor.

Old: I found a reference saying that the company that made the Kub Klipper was sold to Art's Way manufacturing some time ago, but I don't know how accurate that is. Link for Art's Way (who continue to make several different kinds of farm equipment) is below--perhaps they will be able to answer any questions you have.
