Keep him another 2-3 years youll have more beef and steaks then youll know
, I had a jersey Herford cross I took to butcher, I got about 680 pounds of beef out of him, and it tasted great
 
On a Holstein its all burger and roast unless it is 2.5 years old. Holstein doesnt marble till at least 2 years old
 
Are you telling me that store meat comes from those kinds of animals? Always something to learn here on the YT site.
 
so did the Holsteins get shipped at 16-18 months in that feedlot? around here they keep them till close to 2000lbs or more just because they can't get a good dollar for them other wise.
 
Took a steer in two weeks ago. He's getting cut up tomorrow or Saturday. He was sucking the day he was loaded at 24 months. Be interesting meat. My Son is taking half and selling mixed quarters to my brother and his brother in law. Like his mom, a bandit, black white faced with black around his eyes. I haven't eaten meat for over a year and just because I worked in a kitchen where they served it, you have to taste, it's required, not really but I am weak.The ribeyes on this will be tempting. Hot hanging weight is 810, naturally feed no stress along the way.
